CHURCHES

AMBANGEG CHRISTIAN CHURCH

The Ambangeg Christian Church was started more than 15 years ago. It's purpose was to be a training ground for young Christian leaders to go out and start new Churches wherever they went.

Ambangeg was where Brett was when he felt the call from God to start a Church Planting movement in the remote mountain Province of Benguet.

Now, Jason is the Ambangeg Christian Church's Minister. Though he and Brett still work very closely, planning and teaching together.

Right now the Ambangeg Christian Church is growing faster than ever. Jason has been very eager and active in campus and youth evangelism, as well as small groups, house visitation and Bible studies.

Because Ambangeg has one of the few high school's and satellite college campus there is always a big turnover in the youth ministry. At times this can feel discouraging as it seems that the numbers are not changing over the years, but when we can look at the numbers of lives changed for Christ and see where some of the past youth are now, it brings us much joy!

The newest project here was extending the building to start a library on the first floor. The library is primarily meant to be a study center for the ministers of the area, but was expanded to be a place for anyone in the community to come and get wholesome books to read.

BANAO CHRISTIAN CHURCH

The Banao Christian Church is our first successful church plant started in 2015. We picked Banao because there is no evangelical church anywhere in the area and the villages is almost completely pagan still.

The Village's layout is rather odd because of the 2 rivers and a mountain. It's broken into 3 almost separate sub-communities (Landing, Banao and Abat). These sub-communities are all about 20 minutes walk from each-other, and thus our church planting work here sometimes looks and feels like 3 house churches that meet all together regularly.

Because of the paganism of the village anytime someone comes to the Lord and joins our church that person is signing up for real persecution and attacks on their livelihood and even verbal attacks on them personally.

At this point Edgar  leads the church with his wife doing much of the children's work.

KIWENG CHRISTIAN CHURCH

THe Kiweng Church is our more uniqu church. None of the leadership team lives in the village, and all three of the ministers (Brett, Jason and Edgar) rotate going here and leading services and Bible studies.

To get here we had to build a boat, as it is on the other side of a lake. Its a 20 minuet drive from Banao, and a 40 minuet drive from Ambangeg, then a 15 minuet boat ride. Kiweng is by far our smallest church, and most challenging in terms of setting set schedules. The people here make their living mostly by raising fish and pigs. Added to that, most the people here are pagan, and so we are still working on getting the people to understand the important of regular bible study and prayer togethers and a church body.
